1 Agreement to Terms
By accessing the Promises & Light website and purchasing our products, you agree to be bound by these Terms & Conditions. Please read them carefully before placing an order. If you do not agree with any part of these terms, please do not use our website or purchase our products.
2 All Sales Are Final
We do not offer returns, refunds, or exchanges on any products under any circumstances. By completing a purchase, you acknowledge and fully agree to this policy. Please review your order carefully — including scents, quantities, and shipping address — before placing your order.
3 Order Processing
You will receive an email confirmation once your order has been placed and a second notification with your tracking number when your order ships. Orders placed on weekends or holidays will begin processing the next business day.
4 Shipping
Orders are shipped via USPS, UPS, or FedEx based on your location and order details. Promises & Light is not responsible for delays caused by the shipping carrier, adverse weather conditions, or any circumstances beyond our control. Once a package leaves our facility, all inquiries regarding delivery should be directed to the carrier.
Promises & Light is not liable for packages that are lost or stolen after confirmed delivery. Please ensure your shipping address is complete and accurate before submitting your order.
5 Product Descriptions
We make every effort to accurately describe our products, including scent profiles, materials, and sizing. However, please note the following:
- Colors and appearances may vary slightly due to individual screen settings and display calibration.
- All candles are hand-poured in small batches and may have minor natural variations in appearance — this is a hallmark of genuine handmade goods, not a defect.
- Scent intensity may vary depending on room size, ventilation, and individual sensitivity.
6 Candle Safety
By purchasing our candles, you agree to follow all candle care and safety guidelines provided. Promises & Light is not liable for any property damage, personal injury, or other harm resulting from improper use of our products. Please refer to our Candle Care Guide for full instructions.
Never leave a burning candle unattended. Keep away from children, pets, and flammable materials. Always burn on a stable, heat-resistant surface. Stop use when ½ inch of wax remains.
7 Intellectual Property
All content on the Promises & Light website — including but not limited to logos, product photography, written descriptions, branding elements, and design — is the sole intellectual property of Promises & Light. Reproduction, redistribution, or use of any content without prior written permission is strictly prohibited.
8 Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, Promises & Light shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from:
- The purchase or use of our products
- Delays or errors in shipping or order fulfillment
- Any inaccuracies in product descriptions or pricing
- Unauthorized access to your personal information
Our total liability shall not exceed the amount paid by you for the specific product giving rise to the claim.

These Terms & Conditions shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Broward County, Florida.
